Canberra’s Progressive Black Metal masters Claret Ash have just announced the first of a two-part EP series entitled The Great Adjudication. Split into two “fragments”, Fragment One is schedule to release on November 1st, 2017, with Fragment Two to follow on March 1st, 2018.
Claret Ash have recently released a single from the upcoming EP Fragment One, in the form of the track ‘Plague Bearer’ at claretash.bandcamp.com.
‘Plague Bearer’ previews the direction in sound for the album and overall has a much rawer production when compared to the previous album The Cleansing, this adds to more of a naturally brutal sound. When the EP’s are combined, The Great Adjudication album will contain 12 tracks in total, guiding you through the widening divide between a profligate human race and a natural world struggling to maintain balance.
With cover art once again created by Sam Nelson of Stigma Art from the United States, Fragment One will contain the following tracks:
I. Essence of Fire
III. The Noose
IV. Plague Bearer
V. The Gyre
A limited digipack release will follow on 1 March 2018, and will contain all 12 tracks from both EP Fragment One and Fragment Two.
Claret Ash support the release of Fragment One with two special performances and the only remaining shows for 2017.
