From the beginning of the band, Las Vegas, Nevada band Falling In Reverse has been a controversial creation of former Escape The Fate lead vocalist, Ronnie Radke. Once released from jail, there was one thing on his mind. To take back the mantle of king in the pop-punk scene.
With a very loyal base of fans from his days with Escape the Fate, that plan was set in motion almost immediately with the release of their 2011 debut album The Drug in Me is You. With singles like ‘Good Girls Bad Guys‘ and the album title track ‘The Drug in Me is You‘, Ronnie was back and better than ever. Most of the album was seen as a dig at Ronnie’s former band after leaving him stranded and rightfully so. That was just the start for the escapades that ensued through the years.
The bands second album, 2013’s Fashionably Late was a fun album and definitely a change in tone for Ronnie. Only having to successful singles from the album ‘Alone’ and the title track ‘Fashionably Late’, it was a fun album for the time but the this time was more of an apology to the fans for having to wait. The album was also influenced by Ronnie’s love of hip-hop which in turn changed the style moving forward.
It was with 2015’s Just Like You that things really took a turn. The hatchet had been buried between Escape the Fate and Ronnie Radke and with that, we got the single ‘Guillotine IV (The Final Chapter)’, the epic conclusion to a series started by Ronnie back in his days with Escape the Fate. We also got the amazingly catchy and downright sass title single ‘Just Like You‘ in which the video parodies shows like The Voice and Australian/American Idol.
Coming Home, the fourth studio album released this year had already come out to critical appraisal and will be sure to make the crowd go wild. You may even here a classic Escape the Fate song thrown into the mix if lucky cause between them, the situations are irrelevant now.
You can catch FALLING IN REVERSE at Melbourne’s iconic Flemington Racecourse on March 24th as part of the inaugural Australian edition of Download Festival.
