UNIFIED are proud to announce they have signed acclaimed Melbourne artist Didirri to a recording deal for Australia/New Zealand.

Didirri has been mesmerising people all year. His challenging and thoughtful writing, combined with on-stage charisma and relatable depth, continues to win over audiences. Simultaneously heartbreaking and healing, he approaches real issues with a smile and charm. Didirri is an artist with something to say.

Didirri wowed audiences at BIGSOUND earlier this year with his dynamic live show. He was also added to triple j rotation and multiple Spotify and Apple Music playlists, as well as topping multiple best-of lists. Didirri is rounding out his massive 2017 with Jaddan Comerford personally signing him to a recording deal on UNIFIED for AU/NZ.

“UNIFIED is thrilled today to welcome Didirri into our Recorded Music family. From first hearing Blind You, I fell in love with his voice and unique way of story telling.

We are all really excited by the future and look forward to working with his incredible management team, Larissa and Josh.” Jaddan Comerford, UNIFIED

UNIFIED will work alongside Didirri’s management team of Larissa Ryan and Josh Milgate of Hutch Collective, his agent Adam Montgomery of 123 Agency, Julian Hewitt of Media Arts Lawyers, and his publicist Sarah Chipman of Title Track. Didirri is set for another massive year as he heads to SXSW in March. He will also release new music in the first half of 2018.

“From our first meeting with Jaddan, Josh and I knew we wanted to work with him and his team. His belief in Didirri’s music and his lateral way of thinking aligns with our approach to management and our vision for the future.

“2018 is going to be an incredible year for Didirri, made even stronger with this partnership.” – Larissa Ryan, Hutch Collective

Endlessly inspired and surrounded by creative people, Didirri doesn’t shy away from the truth. His music is for lovers and over-thinkers.

Didirri’s songs weave through uninhibited yet relatable – and sometimes political – lyrics. With a penchant for impromptu mid-set banter, Didirri breaks down the walls between audiences and stage, inviting you into the conversation by removing the stigma of disclosure.

Taking cues from intellectuals, comedians, philosophers, painters, friends, and lovers, he reveals himself using words and music with unprecedented beauty and honesty. His lyrics tug at raw nerves, while his charming melodies soothe your heart, all at once provoking a wild thought and calming your heady mind.

triple j picked him for their “10 best artists we saw’ list, Monster Children described him as “the right kind of earnest”, Double J say Didirri has a disarming charm and a voice from the gods“, The Courier Mail described the set as weaving a mesmerising web of emotive and deeply personal narrative-driven lyrics with every song.

This comes off the back of the successful release of his latest track and video for “Jude”.

Written about a dog named Jude, a relative with Autism, and Paul McCartney telling him to ‘take a sad song and make it better-er-er-er’, “Jude” came from the feeling of not being able to face the morning.

“Jude came out of me on the eve of a friend contemplating their own life. It is a reflection of finding myself in a similar mind to this at times. Feeling that there is no way out. And knowing that these thoughts are chemical and will pass and hearing those words “take a sad song and make it better” and hoping that you’ll be there after all of your thoughts have passed.” Didirri

“Jude” is the second single to come from Didirri’s debut EP, which will be released via UNIFIED in 2018.

“Jude” was recorded and produced in Melbourne by Hayden Calnin. Mastered by Adam Dempsey.
