“The cathartic release of such candid emotions throughout the album are prevalent and inspiring.” – The Music

“Channels Drive-Thru records era bands like The Early November and The Starting Line, as well as emo legends Jimmy Eat World, featuring a swell of warm chords and catchy lead lines. It deals with the relatable theme of appearances versus reality – an important and universal topic in a social media-obsessed world.” – Don’t Bore Us

Illinois rock-group REAL FRIENDS today release their third studio album Composure via Fearless Records / Caroline Australia.

It’s been two years since the band released The Home Inside My Head, which earned a Billboard Top 200 chart placement. Since then, the band has toured throughout Australia (in mid-2017), sold out dates across the US, completed a headline run on the Vans Warped Tour and has been actively writing and recording in the studio.

When approaching Composurethe band found themselves working harder than ever on what they wanted to say with this album. “We have never put this much time and effort into a record,” explains bassist, Kyle Fasel“Composure is everything we’ve always come up short on. We focused more on melodies than ever before. We focused more on the overall emotional climate of each song than ever before. I truly think that every song on the record stands on its own. But when all the songs come together it creates our best effort to date.”

Composure Tracklisting:
1. Me First
2. Stand Steady
3. From The Outside
4. Smiling On The Surface
5. Hear What You Want
6. Unconditional Love
7. Composure
8. Get By
9. Ripcord
10. Take A Hint

Produced by Mike Green (The Aces, All Time Low, The Mowgli’s, Paramore), the album features 10 tracks filled with unforgettable pop-rock hooks that showcase the band’s progression from a pop-punk band to full-fledged pop-rock juggernaut. Even with the pop hooks, the songwriting throughout the album explores an emotionally mature side to the rock group, touching on mental health, being accepted, and above all, learning to love yourself.

REAL FRIENDS is Kyle Fasel (Bass), Dave Knox (Guitar), Dan Lambton (Frontman), Brian Blake (Drums), and Eric Haines (Guitar).
