Melbourne’s Bear the Mammoth are proud to announce they have signed with Art as Catharsis for the release of their highly anticipated sophomore record, Years Under Glass – a groove laden progressive post-rock gem rich in layers, textures and soundscapes.
Check out the first single ‘Decembering’ below.
Bear the Mammoth is honoured to join the Art As Catharsis family home to independent and eclectic artists such as We Lost the Sea, Cascades, Hinterlandt and many others.
“It’s such a pleasure to join the AAC family as we feel a strong kinship with a lot of the innovative and original artists on the label having supported and played along some of the artists in the past.” Says guitarist James Kershaw about the signing.
Produced and mixed by Nao Anzai, Years Under Glass was recorded straight to tape, capturing a dreamy and polished production. Since the band’s debut record release ‘Yamadori’ in 2014, they have supported the crème of the crop of the progressive and post-rock genre including acts such as Anathema, We Lost The Sea, Jakob, Closure In Moscow and countless others.
Years Under Glass will be available via Bandcamp on October 5th!
