Providence, Rhode Island, trio WAY OUT is a band that surpasses the sum of its parts in both talent and presence. Boasting a lineup of East Coast scene vets , along with Nick Sadler of Daughters, the ‘80s deathrock-leaning group has crafted a moody and hook-laden debut with Arc Of Descent. Listen to the album via New Noise today.
WAY OUT gifted the world with a punchy eponymous EP three years ago, and their first LP has been well worth the wait. Balancing stiff rhythms with melodies kneeling at the altar of post-punk greats like Wire and Wipers, Arc Of Descent writhes in the happy medium between lo-fi roar and ‘80s gleam. WAY OUT’s sound leans heavy on a driving rhythm section interlaced with melodic guitar hooks. In the years since the release of their eponymous EP, the band has shared the stage with Soft Kill and Chameleons Vox and toured across the country in various projects.
Arc Of Descent will be released to the world via Atomic Action! Records on August 10. Preorders are available here. Catch WAY OUT on tour throughout the East Coast this month.
