Los Angeles-based TRAPPIST today unloads their Ancient Brewing Tactics debut LP through Relapse Records, taking the occasion to release their new official video, “No Soldier Left Behind” through a premiere at Metal Injection.
TRAPPIST is bassist/vocalist/brewer Chris Dodge (Spazz, ex-Infest, ex-Despise You, etc.), guitarist/vocalist/fermenter Phil Vera (Crom, Despise You, ex- -16-), and drummer/vocalist/bottler Ryan Harkins (co-owner of Grill ‘Em All).
The video for “No Soldier Left Behind” was directed by Alex von Alex stars the members of TRAPPIST and more. With decades of experience and authority, The Sarge is on a mission to save brewskis from being wasted and confront any suspects who would commit such an unthinkable act. Reality TV crews capture the live confrontations, embracing how today’s hops savvy brew culture connect through beer, using it as a catalyst to eliminate annual ale waste, propel a dialogue, and develop community. Compelling and unscripted, “No Soldier Left Behind” is a program filled with forceful purpose, an intense passion for cold ones, and lots of laughs.
Actor/producer/editor Joshua M. Johnson offers, “After being a douche for hire (aka Emmy award winning reality TV producer) for more than a decade, I was thrilled to get a chance to play this role. I am truly honored and hopeful that my brutally honest depiction sheds light on some of the dark realities behind this industry.”

TRAPPIST has also been added to Decibel Magazine’s inaugural Beer & Metal Fest Los Angeles onDecember 1st and 2nd, set to perform alongside the likes of The Black Dahlia Murder, Khemmis, Triptykon, Pig Destroyer, Yob, Power Trip, Skeletal Remains, Necrot, Haunt, and more to be announced, with a wide array of craft breweries set to fill the joint with high quality suds.
