Last night, triple j’s The Racket premiered the brand new single from Diamond Construct. Hailing from the quiet town of Taree on the New South Wales central coast, the young four-piece have been tipped as the band to watch next year from their contemporaries Polaris. Today the band is proud to share the music video for Submerged, as well as their signing to Greyscale Records.

Of the single, vocalist Kynan Groundwater expresses his desire to create emotion from the track. “Sparked from emotion, this song was written solely for the purpose of the listener experiencing the same things we felt writing it. Lyrically, Submerged came from a time where personally, things were sinking; so musically it actually came together reasonably quickly. Submerged is one of the heaviest songs we’ve released to date. We’re excited to share this new direction in our sound with you. This is just a taste of what’s to come”

“So I’ll break the boundaries this time, ’cause I’ve never had them, and I never will.”

Diamond Construct become the latest addition to Greyscale Records’ growing roster of upcoming bands, an opportunity they have cherished. “Signing with Greyscale Records means the world to us as musicians. Starting a band and hoping for the best seems like a dream sometimes but feeling like we had put in a hundred percent for so long and not getting much back was draining. In the process of writing we knew something big was going to happen eventually if we got the chance and taking this step with such an amazing record label is an opportunity of a lifetime.”

Soon the band will be hitting the road with label mates Alpha Wolf and Justice For The Damned, keen to prove that they’ll be the band to watch in 2019. “As any member of a metal band would tell you – we’d love to tour the world and play music to as many people as we can. We also want people to feel our music so that they can grow and learn from it. Diamond Construct is about experiences and for a punter seeing us for the first or tenth time, we’d love for them to feel like they’d been hit by a freight train of emotion.”
