European death/doom/sludge metallers Age of Woe are set to record their third album in December 2018.

Hard at work writing new material since the release of An Ill Wind Blowing (2016, War Anthem Records), the band has also toured relentlessly across Europe with noteworthy appearances at Inferno Metal Festival and Berlin Swamp Fest amongst many others.

But now the band will retreat to the calm woods outside of Umeå, Sweden to begin recording at Järnhjälmen (The Iron Helmet) on December 7th.  Carlos Sepulveda will again sit in the producer’s chair and will be assisted by Stefan Johansson.  The upcoming album’s title and release date are yet to be revealed.  Says the band:

A lot has happened since An Ill Wind Blowing, both good and difficult things. We are now a band spread out across northern Europe and life is slowly catching up to us. New ways of working and writing together had to be invented since being in the same room for songwriting has become harder and harder.  Finally, a follow-up to our sophomore album is written and the machine that is Age of Woe is back with full force.

Upcoming Performances

29th Nov @ Stengade — Copenhagen, DK
30th Nov @ Alte Meierei — Kiel, DE
